Core Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components of transformers, ensuring compliance with industry standards governing power, distribution, and special transformers.
  • Create detailed mechanical drawings, models, and designs using CAD software.
  • Develop tank, cooling system, core clamping, and structural component designs for transformers.
  • Ensure mechanical designs meet thermal, dielectric, and structural performance requirements.
  • Generate accurate Bills of Material (BOM) for all mechanical components.
  • Conduct mechanical stress and thermal analysis for transformer components.
  • Collaborate with electrical design teams to ensure alignment between mechanical and electrical specifications.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams.
  • Review and approve mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and implement design improvements to enhance reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO-9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and other applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production and sales, to support company objectives.
  • Mentor and guide junior mechanical engineers and technicians.
  • Complete design activities within project deadlines and schedules.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Engineering.
