Our work spans four key pillars: Export & Trade Promotion, Investment Attraction, Innovation Collaboration, and Market Intelligence. We bring a government-level understanding of trade systems, the agility of a consulting firm, and the creativity of a startup accelerator.

Role Description:

We are seeking a senior professional to lead GTC's innovation and startup partnership initiatives — driving collaboration between
European innovation agencies and the Indian startup ecosystem.

This is a strategic, outward-facing role that requires deep understanding of how
innovation ecosystems, startup incubators, and investors
operate in both India and Europe.

The Vice President will lead efforts in:

  • Helping
    European startups and scale-ups
    enter the Indian market through partnerships, commercialisation, and investor linkages.
  • Helping
    Indian high-growth scale-ups
    explore global expansion opportunities, particularly across
    European markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage partnerships with
    European innovation agencies, startup accelerators, and technology parks.
  • Develop programs connecting
    European startups
    with Indian partners for
    pilots, market access, and co-development.
  • Identify and mentor
    Indian scale-ups
    seeking internationalisation — match them with
    European investors, accelerators, and corporates.
  • Engage with
    Indian venture capital and corporate investor networks
    to facilitate co-investment and partnerships.
  • Design and execute
    innovation bridge programs
    between India and Europe — from scoping to delivery and reporting.
  • Represent GTC at key
    innovation summits, trade fairs, and ecosystem events
    across India and internationally.
  • Work with governments, industry associations, and corporates to
    shape bilateral innovation collaborations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years
    of professional experience in
    innovation partnerships, startup ecosystem management, or accelerator/incubator programs.
  • Proven experience working with
    Indian startup incubators, accelerators, or government innovation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of
    European innovation ecosystems
    — familiarity with EU startup networks, innovation agencies, or soft-landing programs preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of the
    Indian VC and investor ecosystem
    — ability to build strategic co-investment and partnership opportunities.
  • Excellent relationship-building, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate ecosystem opportunities into tangible programs.
  • Master's degree in Business, or International Relations, preferred.
