Overview: The Lab Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of the laboratory within the organization. They are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role is essential in maintaining the laboratory's functionality and enabling the smooth execution of experiments and research projects.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the laboratory
  • Manage inventory and procurement of lab supplies and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Train and supervise lab technicians and assistants
  • Manage budgeting and financial aspects of the lab
  • Oversee maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
  • Collaborate with research and development teams
  • Implement quality control measures
  • Develop and update documentation and records
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support
  • Participate in the design and planning of lab layouts and workflows

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or related field
  • Proven experience in a laboratory setting

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
