About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive
Additve Manufacturing Engineer
to manage end-to-end production at ProtoLab. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with multiple additive manufacturing technologies, production workflows, and troubleshooting of 3D printing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and manage 3D printers across technologies:
    SLA, SLS, FDM, and DLP
    .
  • Prepare and optimise files for printing using
    Materialise Magics
    ,
    Voxeldance
    , and other slicing software.
  • Perform
    part orientation, support generation, nesting, and print optimisation
    for efficient production.
  • Modify and prepare CAD files in
    Fusion 360
    or
    SolidWorks
    for DFAM (Design for Additive Manufacturing).
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling, and timely job execution.
  • Maintain detailed
    production logs, QC reports
    , and process documentation.
  • Manage
    machine maintenance
    , identify breakdowns, and co-ordinate with OEMs.
  • Handle basic repairs and troubleshooting independently.
  • Knowledge of
    vacuum casting
    processes is an added advantage.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and maintain a clean, organised production environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Additive Manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of
    Magics
    ,
    Voxeldance
    , and related production software.
  • Hands-on experience with
    SLA/SLS/FDM/DLP
    technologies.
  • Basic CAD skills (Fusion 360/SolidWorks) with ability to modify parts for DFAM.
  • Understanding of production processes, machine maintenance, and data recording.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a production lab environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
