Role & responsibilities

Monthly Accounting

  • Oversee the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process and handle end-to-end monthly accounting operations for a global software company with business presence across India, the US, and Canada.
  • Coordinate with respective departments for collection and verification of monthly bills.
  • Verify imprest accounts and departmental expenses (Finance, Admin & HR).
  • Review employee expense reimbursements and guide employees in filling/uploading expense forms and bills in HRMS.
  • Maintain and update the Contractor Employee Sheet.
  • Track contractor bills with contract end dates and seek necessary approvals for renewals/extensions.
  • Prepare prepaid and accrual expense working monthly and annually
  • Prepare fund transfer sheets based on CRR from departments and as per requirements
  • Prepare delivery challans and e-way bills for laptop couriers.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Record depreciation entries in accounting software from Assets software.
  • Rename and organize vouchers serially into designated folders.
  • Prepare ad-hoc data and related reports in connection with monthly and annual closures
  • Prepare GST data for monthly returns (GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B) and ensure timely filing.
  • Prepare TDS data for monthly compliance.
  • Assist in preparation of audit-related data (December & March audits).
  • Prepare data for GST refunds.
  • Prepare GSTR-9 annual return data.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • (Preferred) Masters in Commerce / MBA (Finance) / Semi-qualified CA/CS/CMA.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP and Quickbooks (or similar accounting software).
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Net Suite will be added advantage
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to e-way bill generation, challan preparation, and bank reconciliation.

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for inter-department coordination.
  • Time management skills to meet multiple statutory deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Problem-solving and process-oriented mindset.

Experience

  • 24 years of relevant experience in accounting, GST compliance, and financial operations.
  • Prior experience in handling monthly GST/TDS returns and audit support preferred
