About the Role :

Equitas Small Finance Bank is seeking a visionary Head of IT Engineering / Head of Technology to drive our enterprise-wide digital transformation journey. This role involves leading Enterprise Architecture, Application Development, Application Support, and Data Management across core and digital banking platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end engineering strategy covering core banking, digital channels, middleware (ESB), and integration platforms.

- Drive modernization initiatives using cloud technologies (AWS / Azure / GCP), APIs, microservices, and DevOps.

- Manage application support and data management teams, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and compliance.

- Collaborate with business leaders and regulators to align technology with business growth and governance.

- Oversee vendor partnerships, system upgrades, and large-scale integration projects.

- Build and mentor a high-performing team of architects, developers, and engineers.

Required Qualifications :

Education :

- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.

- MBA or M.Tech preferred.

Experience :

years in technology roles, with 10+ years in senior engineering or IT leadership.

- Strong exposure to banking / fintech / financial services technology environments.

- Deep knowledge of core banking systems, digital banking platforms, regulatory compliance, and enterprise integrations.

Technical Expertise :

- Cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, or GCP

- APIs, ESB, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

- CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, data management, and performance tuning

- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
