As 
Lead Systems Engineer (Robotics)
, you will architect, integrate, and manage complex robotic systems end-to-end — uniting mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems into a cohesive, production-ready platform.

This role blends 
technical depth with leadership and product ownership
 — driving system design, engineering execution, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
:

Systems Architecture & Integration

• Define and own the overall system architecture — compute, sensing, actuation, power, and communication layers.
• Design system interfaces (mechanical, electrical, and data) ensuring seamless interoperability.
• Develop and maintain system-level schematics, BOMs, and integration documentation.
• Plan and execute system integration tests, calibration, and validation workflows.
• Manage trade-offs in performance, cost, and reliability during system design and scaling.

Subsystem Management & Engineering Coordination

• Manage integration across perception, control, compute, and embedded systems.
• Oversee cross-functional collaboration between mechanical, electrical, and software teams.
• Drive engineering reviews, test planning, and release cycles.
• Define and track technical KPIs and system-level performance metrics.
• Ensure robust change management, version control, and traceability across subsystems.

Autonomy & Perception Integration

• Oversee perception stack development with camera, LiDAR, GNSS, and IMU sensors.
• Integrate AI-based detection and decision systems into real-time control pipelines.
• Implement and tune localization and navigation subsystems (sensor fusion, VIO, SLAM).
• Manage edge compute resource allocation and data synchronization across subsystems.

Product Ownership & Delivery

• Translate product goals into actionable engineering roadmaps and deliverables.
• Lead system validation in lab and field environments, ensuring performance under real-world conditions.
• Work closely with leadership to define system specifications, reliability targets, and scaling strategy.
• Oversee release readiness, production transition, and continuous improvement cycles.

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team across robotics, embedded, and mechanical domains.
• Establish systems engineering practices — configuration management, integration testing, and documentation standards.
• Review technical designs, integration reports, and test results with subsystem leads.
• Promote a systems-thinking culture within the engineering organization.

Requirements
:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Systems Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in robotics systems design, integration, and validation.
• Strong background in 
  systems engineering
  , 
  architecture design
  , and 
  multi-domain integration
  .
• Deep understanding of control systems, sensor fusion, and communication interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, UART).
• Experience with ROS/ROS2, C++/Python, and edge compute platforms (Jetson, x86).
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end system integration and bring robotic products to production.
• Strong documentation, planning, and cross-team coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Familiarity with agricultural, industrial, or outdoor autonomous systems.
• Exposure to systems safety, diagnostics, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Experience with simulation and CI/CD for robotics.
• Knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (V-model, SysML, or MBSE).
