Role Description

Job Role : Production Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our leather goods manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in leather goods production, from sample development to final quality control, with strong leadership and technical skills.

Qualifications Required

Educational Background

• Minimum: 12th Standard (Higher Secondary) completion

• Preferred: Diploma in relevant field (Leather Technology, Production Management, or related discipline)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment

• Mandatory: Direct experience in leather goods manufacturing sector

• Hands-on experience in both sample section and production operations

Key Responsibilities

1. Sample Section Management

2. Oversee all sample development activities and prototype creation

3. Coordinate with design team to ensure accurate sample production

4. Manage sample approval processes and client feedback incorporation

5. Maintain sample quality standards and documentation

6. Handle sample costing and material estimation

7. Ensure timely delivery of samples to clients/internal teams

8. Production Operations

9. Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities

10. Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders

11. Coordinate with different production departments for smooth workflow

12. Manage production workforce and assign daily tasks

13. Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste

14. Implement lean manufacturing principles and ensure safety of workers

15. Quality Assurance

16. Establish and maintain quality standards throughout production process

17. Conduct regular quality inspections at various production stages

18. Identify and resolve quality issues promptly

19. Train production staff on quality procedures and standards

20. Maintain quality documentation and reports

21. Overall Quality Control (QC)

22. Develop and implement comprehensive QC procedures

23. Monitor finished goods quality before dispatch

24. Conduct final inspection of products against specifications

25. Handle customer quality complaints and implement corrective actions

26. Maintain QC records and generate quality reports

27. Coordinate with QC team for continuous improvement initiatives

28. Outside Job Work Quality Control

29. Oversee quality standards for outsourced manufacturing work

30. Conduct vendor audits and quality assessments

31. Monitor third-party supplier quality performance

32. Establish quality agreements with external vendors

33. Handle quality issues with outsourced work and implement solutions

34. Computer Operations & Documentation

35. Utilize computer systems for production planning and tracking

36. Maintain digital records of production data and quality metrics

37. Generate reports using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

38. Handle email communication with clients and internal teams

39. Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
