About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Payroll Consultant with strong hands-on experience in global payroll configurations, statutory compliance, and large-scale implementation projects.

The candidate will support multi-country payroll operations, collaborate with global HR & Finance teams, and ensure accurate payroll delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation, configuration, and production support of SAP HCM Payroll.
  • Manage global payroll operations across regions (US / UK / EMEA / APAC) based on project needs.
  • Configure payroll schema, PCRs, wage types, features, time evaluation, and BSI (if US payroll).
  • Manage cross-module integrations: EC / Finance / Time & Attendance / Benefits.
  • Understand global compliance: taxation, statutory rules, social security, overtime, and reporting.
  • Handle payroll parallel runs, validation, control checks, and reconciliation.
  • Manage post-payroll tasks—GL postings, off-cycle runs, and YTD adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot payroll queries and ensure resolution within SLAs.
  • Prepare functional specs; coordinate with ABAP developers for enhancements.
  • Conduct UAT, regression testing, cut-over preparation, and go-live support.
  • Create and maintain payroll process documentation & SOPs.
  • Train global HR/payroll users.
  • Identify and drive process improvements.

Required Skills

  • 8–10 years of SAP Payroll experience (at least 2–3 E2E implementations).
  • Hands-on experience with multi-country / global payroll (US, UK, EMEA, APAC preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of:

  • Payroll schema & PCRs

  • Wage type configuration
  • Time evaluation
  • Benefits & Time integration

  • Retroactivity & off-cycle processing

  • Strong understanding of statutory compliance:

  • US: Federal/State taxes, BSI TaxFactory

  • UK: HMRC reporting

  • Europe/APAC: Local payroll rules (preferred)

  • Ability to support month-end payroll & reconciliation.

  • Experience working with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
  • SAP HCM / Payroll certification.
  • Experience working in large global organizations.
  • Basic ABAP debugging knowledge.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-geo teams in different time zones.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • MBA / Global HR certification is a plus.
