The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.

There's never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You'll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You'll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·10 to 12 Years of Experience in AS/400 Operating System Support.

· iSeries H/W and S/W config, install, migration and maintenance.

·  iSeires PTF/APAR management

· Backup and Recovery management using BRMS

· OS/400 Security Management

· Problem and Change Management process and tool knowledge.

· Performance and Capacity Management (PM400 and Perf Navigator).

· iSeries Job Schedulers - Robot, IBM Advanced Job Scheduler (IJS) and the Native Job Scheduler (WRKJOBSCDE)

- Power system, VIOS and HMC management

- Expertise knowledge in High Availability

· PCI and SOX Compliance knowledge

· IBM supported network architecture and configurations - TCP/IP, SNI, SNA.

· New system builds and decommission

Preferred Technical and Professional Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

•Knowledge on iSeries environment with VIOS/External storage and Virtual Tape Library like  ProtecTier/DSI VTL/EMC Data domain

•Knowledge of Automation/Monitoring tool

•Working knowledge on Power6/Power7/Power8/Power9
