Job Responsibilities

  • • Ensure proper functioning and regular maintenance of electrical systems, panels, motors, and control circuits.
  • • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical equipment in coordination with the maintenance team.
  • • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and electrical systems.
  • • Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to power supply, PLCs, drives (VFDs/servo), and automation systems.
  • • Support the development and updating of electrical drawings, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • • Maintain records of daily electrical activities, breakdowns, and repair works.
  • • Coordinate with vendors for procurement and replacement of electrical components and spares.
  • • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, electrical standards (e.g., IEC, IS, NEC), and statutory compliance.
  • • Collaborate with the production and mechanical teams for resolving electrical faults affecting operations.
  • • Assist in energy monitoring, load balancing, and improving power efficiency.
  • • Support electrical audits, inspections, and documentation for ISO/TPM/5S or similar programs.
  • • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and prepare CAPA reports for recurring electrical issues.
  • • Provide input on automation upgrades and improvements in machine control systems.

  • • Maintain up-to-date documentation for earthing systems, transformers, DG sets, panels, and MCCs.
  • • Ensure regular calibration of measuring instruments and protection devices.
  • • Participate in training sessions and assist in skill development of junior staff or operators.

Qualifications and Experience

  • • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • • 23 years of experience in a plant, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • • Hands-on knowledge of PLC systems, drives, control panels, motor starters, and electrical safety.
  • • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents.
  • • Familiarity with CMMS, SAP, or ERP systems for maintenance tracking.
  • • Exposure to TPM, TQM, 5S, or similar plant improvement programs is a plus.
  • • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • • Basic knowledge of energy conservation and electrical efficiency improvements.
  • • Good communication and documentation skills.
