Job Description: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Note: We are hiring only male candidates for the requirement

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead cost estimation, budget creation, and financial planning for construction or engineering projects, ensuring delivery within budget constraints.
  • Prepare and manage bills of quantities (BOQs), tender & contract documentation, including scope of work, specifications, and terms & conditions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, perform risk and value management, and propose cost-effective strategies.
  • Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle, track design or scope changes, and report on cost impacts and variances.
  • Manage valuation of works, handle claims, variations, and provide contractual advice.
  • Oversee and mentor junior quantity surveyors, guiding estimation, procurement, reporting, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and sometimes clientsensuring alignment, negotiation, and compliance.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline (Masters often preferred).
  • Professional accreditation such as RICS, CIOB, or MRICS considered advantageous.
  • Typically 510+ years of experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or related roles; includes exposure to both pre- and post-contract stages.
  • Proficiency in estimation and measurement software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, Cost Estimation tools).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership, communication, and reporting capabilities.
  • Understanding of construction contracts, procurement practices, building regulations, and cost-control methodologies.
