Software Engineer I, Implementation

Smart Data Solutions, a leading provider of data management, claim routing and workflow solutions to health plans and TPAs, is looking for a Software Engineer I, Implementation to join our team

The Software Engineer of Implementation will be a dynamic and highly skilled Software Engineer specializing in Java-based software implementation. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and deploying our Java-based solutions for clients. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation, seamless integration, and high-quality deliverables that meet customer requirements.

What you'll be doing?
Development

• Implement projects assigned to the clearinghouse development staff.
• Ensure assigned projects are executed within established timeframes, and according to SOS coding standards and best practices.
• Submit code for review of clearinghouse management and ensure all proper testing has been carried out.
• Participate in clearinghouse training on the concepts of the clearinghouse business and technical environment.
• Proactively work to optimize the performance and reliability of clearinghouse systems and customer processes
• Other duties as assigned.

Support

• work through clearinghouse assignments:
• Troubleshoot processes when defects or malfunctions arise.
• Identify, implement, test, and deploy fixes for defects and malfunctions.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers to understand issues and provide timely support and resolution.
• Work with clearinghouse threat management teams and error logs, working with support engineer staff to:
• Ensure all threats are investigated and cleared in a timely manner.
• Implement permanent corrective updates for threats and errors.
• Monitor clearinghouse production, identify delayed or incorrectly processed transactions, and apply corrective actions.
• Use "automation first" approach to minimize manual intervention related to clearinghouse production.
• Other duties as assigned

Business Analysis

• Create and maintain accurate business rules and technical process documentation related to customer workflows and SOS systems.

Management

• Hold clearinghouse developers and support engineers accountable for delivering assignments on-time and compliant to SOS coding standards and best practices.
• Identify underperforming staff members and work with Clearinghouse Implementation Manager to execute appropriate corrective action.

This is a role based in our Nepal office.
