About The Opportunity
A dynamic role in the Pet Care & Consumer Pet Products sector focused on on-ground distribution, retail activation, and relationship-driven growth across India. You will work with retail partners, distributors and veterinary channel stakeholders to grow market share for branded pet nutrition and supplies in assigned territories.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Hit monthly and quarterly sales targets for your territory through direct retail and distributor engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with pet shops, veterinary clinics, modern trade, and local distributors to maximise shelf space and availability.
  • Execute trade promotions, in-store merchandising, and POSM placement to drive trial and repeat purchases.
  • Manage order fulfilment and stock levels with distributors and retailers to minimise out-of-stock situations and optimise assortments.
  • Capture market intelligence—competitive activity, pricing, and customer feedback—and share actionable insights with sales and marketing teams.
  • Maintain accurate daily route plans, visit reports and CRM entries to ensure pipeline visibility and timely follow-up.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • Proven field sales experience in FMCG, pet care, or consumer durables with demonstrable territory sales results.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across assigned territory (on-site role).
  • Ability to manage distributor and retail relationships, handle order cycles and resolve on-ground availability issues.
  • Proficiency in route planning, retail merchandising and executing trade promotions.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools and mobile reporting for daily sales updates and pipeline management.
  • Strong analytical orientation to track sales metrics, monitor stock movement and act on market feedback.

Preferred

  • Prior experience specifically within the pet care / pet nutrition category.
  • Experience with distributor management and modern trade activation.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Zoho CRM or other sales automation platforms.
