Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mumbai for a Research and Development Manager. The Research and Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing R&D projects, conducting research, managing and leading teams, and handling project management tasks. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to innovate and improve hair care products, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and address customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Team Management and Team Leadership skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the beauty or hair care industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Biology, or Chemical Engineering
  • Experience 5-8 yrs
  • Immediate joiners Preferred

Key Responsibilities:

1) Formulation Development: Design, Develop, Optimize Cosmetic Formulations (Skin Care, Hair Care and Makeup) meeting products brief and consumer needs.

2) Raw Material Selections: Source, evalute and recommend raw materials enquiring quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

3) Product Testing: Conduct Sensory, stability and clinical testing to ensure product efficiency and safety.

4) Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adhere to global cosmetic regulation (FDA, EU, Asean)

5) Collaboration: Work Closely with cross functional team (marketing, manufacturing, Quality Assurance)

6) Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies and emerging ingredients.

7) Documentation: Maintain accurate record of formulations, testing and product data
