Jai Vakeel Foundation is the oldest and largest NGO dedicated to working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Each year, the foundation serves over 3,000 individuals across different age groups and varying levels of intellectual and other associated disabilities such as autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and visual or hearing impairment. Nearly 70% of the students belong to lower socio-economic backgrounds, but all individuals are welcomed regardless of economic status or level of challenge. Our services span four main areas: healthcare, education, skill development, and support services.

Manager - Fundraising and Donor Management

Office Based in Mumbai (Sewri - Cotton Green Station)

Summary:

The Manager – Fundraising and Donor Management will be responsible for growing JVF's donor base and revenue by leading donor and CSR research, designing and executing impactful fundraising campaigns,

driving retail fundraising channels, and developing high-quality donor presentations and pitch

materials. The role will also coordinate and support the annual marathon fundraising

campaign, including collaterals, campaign management, and social media engagement.

In addition, the role will provide support in the development of proposals and donor appeals,

working alongside the Head – Fundraising & Donor Management and program teams.

Role Responsibilities:

Donor & CSR Research:

• Conduct in-depth research on corporates, CSR initiatives, foundations, and HNIs
• Maintain an updated donor acquisition database with funding cycles, eligibility, and
• contact details
• Build a qualified donor pipeline to drive new meetings and proposals

Campaigns & Retail Fundraising:

• Design and execute thematic campaigns (digital, workplace giving, retail, matched giving)
• Track campaign performance and optimise for better ROI
• Support the annual marathon fundraising campaign — create collaterals, coordinate activities, and develop social media content with the communications team
• Identify and onboard Jai Vakeel on retail fundraising platforms

Donor Presentations & Pitch Collateral

• Develop professional, persuasive presentations for donor pitches, events, and
• conferences
• Collaborate with communications to ensure brand consistency and impactful
• storytelling
• Collaborate with the Head – Fundraising to tailor proposals to donor priorities

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the Donor Relations Manager to ensure smooth onboarding and handover of new donors for relationship management.
• Assist in preparing proposals, concept notes, and donor appeals as required.
• Coordinate with programs, MEL, and communications teams for data and content accuracy in donor-facing materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Development Studies, Communications, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5–7 years overall, with at least 3 years in fundraising, business development, CSR, or institutional donor engagement in the nonprofit or corporate sector.
• Understanding of Donor Budgeting will be an added benefit
