Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Advocate / Legal Document Lawyer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice, draft complex legal documents, and represent clients in courts, tribunals, and other legal forums. This role requires a deep understanding of legal processes, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to strategize effectively in both litigation and advisory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Representation: Represent clients in various legal matters, including civil, corporate, commercial, and criminal cases, in courts, tribunals, and other legal forums.
• Drafting Legal Documents: Draft, review, and finalize high-quality legal documents, including contracts, agreements, petitions, legal notices, affidavits, writs, pleadings, and other legal correspondences.
• Client Consultation: Offer expert legal advice to clients on matters relating to their legal rights, obligations, and strategies for handling disputes.
• Case Strategy: Develop litigation strategies, identify risks, and recommend solutions to complex legal issues. Manage legal proceedings from start to resolution.
• Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case arguments and ensure the best outcomes for clients. Stay updated with new laws, regulations, and case precedents.
• Negotiation & Dispute Resolution: Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions on behalf of clients when appropriate.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior lawyers and legal associates within the firm on best practices in legal drafting and advocacy.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all legal documents and practices comply with the applicable laws and regulations. Identify and mitigate potential legal risks for clients.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Legal Expertise: In-depth knowledge of legal procedures, regulations, and precedents across multiple domains (e.g., corporate, civil, criminal, and commercial law & land legal ).
• Document Drafting: Exceptional drafting skills with attention to detail and clarity in legal document preparation.
• Advocacy Skills: Strong oral advocacy and litigation skills with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex legal problems and offer innovative solutions.
• Negotiation: Expertise in negotiation and conflict resolution, capable of managing settlements efficiently.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, judges, and other legal professionals.

Must be able to read and write in Telugu (mandatory for drafting and reviewing regional legal documents).

• Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized law school. LL.M. (Master of Laws) is preferred but not mandatory. Any real estate experience is also fine.
• Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice, with a proven track record of handling complex litigation and legal documentation.
• Bar Membership: Must be a member of the Bar Council of [insert jurisdiction] is good.
• Specialization: Experience in civil litigation, corporate law, contract law, or criminal law is highly desirable.
