We are looking for a Developer Relations / Advocate who will go beyond just creating documentation to drive user enablement, content strategy, and product adoption.

About the Role

As a Developer Relations Advocate at ZopDev, you will play a key role in growing, inspiring, and supporting our developer community. Acting as a vital link between developers and our internal product and engineering teams, you'll represent user needs externally and advocate for their feedback internally. Our mission is to empower practitioners by building meaningful relationships, sharing best practices, and enhancing the developer experience through open dialogue and collaboration. You'll help developers successfully adopt and thrive with our tools while ensuring our internal teams stay closely aligned with the community's evolving needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build compelling presentations, demos, technical blogs, and sample solutions showcasing ZopDev products.
  • Prototype technical integrations between ZopDev products and the broader ecosystem.
  • Actively engage and support the developer community through events like conferences, meetups, and hackathons.
  • Represent practitioner needs internally by providing feedback on bugs, creating feature requests, and documenting product friction and potential features in support of improving product.
  • Maintain a strong social media presence and credibility in channels relevant to developers and operators.
  • Define, encourage, and drive adoption of ZopDev tools within the community.
  • Engage as a technical spokesperson for ZopDev as requested.
  • Support peers and community members as needed through code reviews, pairing, and collaborative development, modeling a high standard for team practices.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and milestones clearly to teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to product vision discussions and suggest improvements for user experience, design, and documentation.

You may be a good fit for our team if you have:

  • Hands-on experience writing code and contributing to or managing open-source projects.(preferably involving developer productivity theme)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Engineering, DevOps, or a related technical field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage developers and engineers.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure management concepts and operations lifecycle.
  • Strong customer focus, ownership, initiative, and drive.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment within established practices.
  • Eagerness to travel for conferences, community events, and meetups as needed.
