Role Overview

The role of the settlement operations analyst is to ensure the timely and accurate settlement of cash flows of Equity Derivate trades for our client. This involves conducting pre-settlement checks and affirmation of the cash flows with counterparties, with the intent to identify and resolve any issues that may prevent timely and accurate settlement.

The settlements function also serves as a layer of control where booking issues such as incorrect economics (wrong direction, currency, index, notional, counterparty, etc.) are detected, escalated, and resolved. To this end, the operations analyst is expected to ensure the timely settlement of the cash flow and at the same time identify these risks, fully observing the procedures and policies of the function.

This role reports into the settlements manager, with supervisory responsibilities shared by senior operations analysts.
