Role Summary

The Café Manager will be responsible for overall café operations, including food quality, customer service, sales, team management, and compliance with health and safety standards. The role also involves mentoring and supporting staff with disabilities to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the café.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily café operations, ensuring efficiency and quality service.
  • Monitor food preparation and presentation, maintaining hygiene and consistency.
  • Supervise and train café staff, including employees with disabilities, in different operational areas.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and stock control to minimize wastage.
  • Handle cash management, billing systems, and daily sales reporting.
  • Address customer queries/feedback and ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
  • Plan and implement strategies to increase café sales and customer engagement.
  • Liaise with the central team for HR, accounts, compliance, and reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in café/restaurant/retail operations management preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and POS/billing systems.
  • Ability to handle responsibility and solve problems in real time.
  • Sensitivity and commitment towards working in an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Hospitality/Hotel Management/Business preferred (not mandatory).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in F&B/retail.
