Role OverviewThe Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reconciling accounts, managing invoices, and ensuring compliance with tax and statutory regulations. The role demands precision, confidentiality, and a high degree of ownership over day-to-day financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record, update, and maintain all financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Prepare sales, purchase, and expense ledgers; handle petty cash and bank reconciliation.
  • Manage vendor and client invoices, verify bills, and ensure timely payments/receipts.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Support management with budgeting, forecasts, and cost control.
  • Maintain organized documentation of all financial and statutory records.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software: Tally ERP9 / Tally Prime, Excel, GST portal, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and tax compliance.
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
  • Time management: Ability to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Communication: Clear, concise reporting to management or auditors.
