Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Finance Head to lead the finance function of our NBFC. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, ensuring robust financial operations, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and deep knowledge of NBFC operations and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Financial Planning and Management

  2. Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with business goals.

  3. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  4. Partner with business units to drive financial performance and accountability.

  5. Analyze financial data to provide insights and support decision-making.

  6. Financial Operations and Controls

  7. Oversee accounting functions ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

  8. Establish and enforce strong internal controls and compliance frameworks.
  9. Manage tax planning and compliance (direct and indirect taxes).

  10. Lead risk management initiatives and manage treasury operations, liquidity, and working capital.

  11. Compliance and Regulatory Management

  12. Ensure compliance with RBI and other regulatory requirements applicable to NBFCs.

  13. Prepare and review regulatory reports and coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies.

  14. Stay updated with changing financial and compliance regulations.

  15. Team Leadership

  16. Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team.

  17. Drive a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.

  18. Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  19. Other Functional Areas

  20. Manage credit facilities and relationships with financial institutions.

  21. Monitor legal and compliance issues related to lending operations.
  22. Assess and manage portfolio risk and support sustainable growth.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations for NBFCs
  • Strong understanding of treasury, taxation, and risk management
  • Excellent leadership and team development abilities
  • Analytical mindset with strong business acumen
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a regulated NBFC environment is mandatory
  • Track record of leading financial strategy and operations at scale
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
