Key Account Manager India - Your future position?

As the Key Account Manager covering PAN India, you will lead strategic accounts to drive revenue, profitability, and long-term customer relationships under the Health & Functional portfolio. You will execute account plans, manage the commercial pipeline, and deliver high-quality, timely solutions while defending base business and ensuring profitable growth. You will report to the Head of Health & Functional SAMEA and will be based in Bangalore, India.

  • Drive business growth with designated accounts by managing both revenue and profitability.

  • Lead all Givaudan activities and initiatives for assigned accounts.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, positioning Givaudan as the preferred partner.

  • Develop, communicate, and execute strategic Account Development Plans (ADPs), sales forecasts, and budgets for key accounts, with clearly defined KPIs.

  • Manage the project brief pipeline, ensuring both quantity and quality of projects to achieve growth targets.

  • Protect and retain base business in key markets and accounts.

  • Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements within guidelines, managing credit terms, pricing structures, rebates, and other account-related commercial elements.

  • Participate in customer presentations and collaborative project work.

  • Oversee the commercial project pipeline, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality solutions aligned with customer briefs.

Your professional profile includes:


 
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science or equivalent; MBA qualification is advantageous.

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience in B2B sales within nutraceutical or healthcare ingredients industries.

  • Proven ability to apply strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting skills to develop Account Development Plans (ADPs).

  • In-depth knowledge of customers, competitors, and market dynamics, with solid grasp of profitability goals and performance drivers for key accounts.

  • Strong understanding of customer strategies, initiatives, priorities, launch processes, and how to position offerings effectively.

  • Skilled in executing all account management steps, including brief handling and managing scale-ups.

  • Ability to identify customer needs and generate new business opportunities.

  • Established track record of building strong relationships with key decision-makers.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.

  • Strong negotiation skills, able to secure win–win outcomes while working within guidelines.

  • Demonstrated project management expertise, including leading cross-functional projects to successful completion.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
