AI/ML Data Analyst – Healthcare Analytics

Experience: 4+ Years

Location: Remote (1–2 days/month from any HCL location)

Work Hours: 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM IST

Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Data Analyst with a strong background in healthcare data analytics and data governance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing, analyzing, and interpreting large-scale clinical and operational data to support strategic healthcare initiatives, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management & Governance:

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with healthcare data privacy and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA).

  • Manage, clean, and validate healthcare datasets from multiple sources to maintain high-quality data pipelines.

  • Implement and monitor data governance best practices for healthcare analytics.

Analytical & AI/ML Insights:

  • Analyze clinical and operational data to generate actionable insights for care delivery, cost optimization, and patient outcomes.

  • Develop data-driven dashboards, reports, and predictive models to support decision-making.

  • Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to identify patterns and trends in healthcare datasets.

  • Automate data analysis workflows using Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.

Strategic Collaboration:

  • Translate business and clinical questions into analytical and data requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (data engineers, clinicians, and business stakeholders) and external partners to deliver analytical solutions.

  • Present findings through clear storytelling and visualization to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Healthcare Domain Focus:

  • Support regulatory reporting, value-based care metrics, and clinical performance benchmarking.

  • Work with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, HL7, and HEDIS.

  • Contribute to the analysis of clinical interventions, patient outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within healthcare or life sciences.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one statistical or scripting language (Python, R).

  • Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL processes.

  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

  • Strong analytical thinking, storytelling, and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, and healthcare interoperability standards.

  • Exposure to HEDIS measures, regulatory frameworks, and clinical data workflows is a plus.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with AI/ML tools or frameworks for healthcare data analytics.

  • Knowledge of Azure/AWS/GCP data platforms.

  • Understanding of healthcare operations, population health, or claims data analytics.
