Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field).
Experience:
Minimum
2 years of professional copy editing experience
in the domain of
books
(academic, non-fiction, or fiction) and/or
scholarly journals
(e.g., STM or Humanities/Social Sciences).
Language Skills:
Exceptional command of the English language, including advanced knowledge of grammar, syntax, and punctuation.
Style Guide Fluency:
Proven working knowledge and ability to apply major style guides (e.g., Chicago, APA) and internal house styles.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in
Microsoft Word
(especially using
Track Changes
) and familiarity with publishing software workflows.
Onsite Requirement:
Must be willing to work
onsite
at the
Chennai
or
Trichy
office location.
