Billing Engineer:

Location: Konsari, Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, India

Typical Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in high-rise residential or commercial projects.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with billing software (like SAP, ERP systems, or specialized construction billing tools).
  • Strong knowledge of civil quantity surveying, preparation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and estimation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for tracking and managing billing records.
  • Understanding of civil contracts, project management, and cost control principles.

Key Responsibilities (Job Profile)

  • Preparing Bills and Invoices:
  • Drafting running and final bills for contractors, sub-contractors, and clients based on work completed and material used.
  • Verifying and certifying executed work for payment processing.
  • Quantity Surveying:
  • Measuring quantities on-site for various civil works.
  • Preparing and checking RA (Running Account) Bills and maintaining quantity records.
  • Coordination:
  • Acting as a bridge between site teams, management, contractors, and clients to ensure proper workflow and payment schedules.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely billing to avoid payment disputes and project delays.
  • Cost Tracking & Reporting:
  • Tracking all material consumption, site progress, and work completion for accurate costing and billing.
  • Managing financial documentation and supporting audits.
  • Project Documentation:
  • Maintaining systematic records for all billing transactions and supporting documents as per company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Dispute Resolution:
  • Reviewing bills, identifying discrepancies, and resolving billing or payment-related issues.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensuring all bills comply with relevant standards (such as CPWD, PWD, or company-specific guidelines).
