Job Description: Manual/Automation Software Tester (1-5 Years Experience) Position: Manual/Automation Software Tester

Experience Required: 6+ Years

Location: WFO

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Manual/Automation Software Tester with 1-5 years of experience to join our QA team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, executing, and automating test cases.

You will work closely with the development and product teams to identify, report, and verify issues, ensuring a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities: Manual Testing:

  • Understand business requirements and create detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, user acceptance, and system testing.
  • Execute test cases and document test results, identifying defects and reporting them in a detailed manner.
  • Validate fixes and ensure they resolve the reported issues.

Automation Testing

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Generate test reports and logs for tracking automated test results.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work with cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, and product managers) to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates on test coverage, defect status, and quality metrics.

Performance and Security Testing:

  • Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure applications are tested for vulnerabilities.

Documentation

  • Create and maintain documentation for test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Provide detailed defect reports and follow up until resolution.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical Skills:
  • Manual Testing:
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing and executing test cases, reporting bugs, and tracking their lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in defect management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
  • Automation Testing:
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripts.
  • Knowledge of test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr.
  • Performance Testing:
  • Experience with tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Experience (Based on Level):

  • 1-2 Years: Experience in manual testing and basic knowledge of automation tools.
  • 3-5 Years: Experience in both manual and automation testing, ability to design frameworks, and execute performance testing.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
