About the Company

We are a U.S.-based wholesale apparel group specializing in blank and licensed products distributed through Amazon, Shopify, and B2B wholesale platforms. Our operations include multiple U.S. and Canadian warehouses, e-commerce stores, and imports from Pakistan and Asia.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Remote Accountant from India to manage our daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial reporting in QuickBooks Online, with a focus on e-commerce accounting and inventory flow.

Key Responsibilities

1. QuickBooks & General Accounting

  • Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks Online daily.
  • Record journal entries, manage accruals, and ensure books are closed monthly.
  • Manage A/R and A/P — record invoices, payments, and credits accurately.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, PayPal, and merchant accounts.

2. E-commerce Accounting

  • Import and reconcile transactions from Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, and other marketplaces.
  • Reconcile Amazon settlements (sales, fees, refunds, shipping) with bank deposits.
  • Match inventory movements and COGS from ShipHero/WMS systems.
  • Handle sales tax mapping across U.S. states and ensure compliance data is available.

3. Inventory & Cost Accounting

  • Maintain accurate inventory balances by warehouse and SKU.
  • Reconcile landed cost components — freight, duty, brokerage, etc.
  • Support periodic physical count adjustments and cost variance analysis.

4. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and inventory reports.
  • Support management with product-level gross margin and warehouse performance analytics.
  • Collaborate with CPA and management for quarterly and annual reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
  • 2–4 years of experience in U.S. accounting or e-commerce accounting roles.
  • Strong QuickBooks Online skills.
  • Experience with Amazon, Shopify, PayPal, and Stripe reconciliation.
  • Familiar with inventory or wholesale business accounting workflows.
  • Excellent communication in English and willingness to work EST time zone.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with A2X, Webgility, or similar e-commerce integration tools.
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and cross-border transactions.
  • Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and data cleanup.
  • Exposure to multi-currency and inter-company reconciliations.
