G'Day, Jingeri, Hello
At headspace, we value our people as our greatest asset. We attract and retain great people who use their skills to make a difference in the health and well-being of young people. If you're a natural at working with young people or looking to build your career in mental health care, you'll want to keep reading.
Where you'll work
Think taking your lunch break beside crystal blue waters or strolling through the Broadwater Parklands with a client sounds too good to be true? Think again. Our headspace Southport centre is based on the Gold Coast in Southport, QLD - where metropolis meets beachy bliss.

You will be self-employed and working on a contract with our centre, bulk billing clients your clients.
What you'll be doing in the role

- You've got the knowledge and experience to work with a range of presentations within the mild to moderate spectrum. This can include, but is not limited to, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm alcohol and drug use and family discord.
- You have tertiary qualifications in psychology, mental health, social work, occupational therapy and/or have a current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) membership.
- You have ABN and professional indemnity insurance.
- You have a Medicare provider number and you can bill under the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS).
About our team
Since 2006, headspace has helped those aged 12-25 by providing tailored and holistic mental health support at crucial times, helping young people get back on track and improving their ability to manage their mental health. Working at headspace, you'll be supported in a diverse and flexible work environment that encourages professional development and structured clinical support.

What's in it for you?
- On-site clinical support from an experienced team at all times.
- Opportunities to attend group supervision and case conferences, as well as internal professional development workshops.
- No admin fees We have an experienced administration staff to support you with appointment management, billing and other needs, free of charge.
- Flexibility around hours and days.
- Access to modern, comfortable consulting rooms with IT equipment supplied.
- Free parking for you and your clients.
