Senior Engineer, Variant Configuration

We are seeking a Variant Configuration Specialist with expertise in CPQ Developments. This role will focus on Development and Maintenance of CPQ Models for Elevator & Escalator products manufactured at various KONE Factories while maintaining high operational standards. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in CPQ Development and the ability to manage operational KPIs effectively. The role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work comfortably in diverse cultural environments. Some travel is required.

Role description:

• To ensure the functionality of KONE product configurations by programming and testing these product configurations using the programming languages defined for this specific job
• Closely working with R&D/Project team to manage variants for New Products/Releases
• Testing of Configured Models to ensure the Quality
• Creation and maintenance of complex VC (Variant configuration) objects
• Ability to lead projects independently in Matrix structure
• To act as SPOC for all VC (Variant configuration) related queries with help of IT support.
• Working with multi-level configuration models
• Implementation/Maintenance of Variant Pricing
• Preparation of reports for data analysis
• Develop, debug and deploy codes in production configuration tools.
• Flexible to work with any CPQ tools like SAP, CAMOS, VariPDM
• Ability to Train new joinee and Juniors
• Managing team in absence of Manager

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (CSE/IT/EEE/ ECE/E&I/MECH/) / MCA / MSC CSE

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in Relevant technology
• Strong Knowledge in C++ or Java (Object oriented programming)
• CPQ (Configure, Price & Quote) proficiency is an asset (Having CAMOS skills will be advantageous)
• Good Debugging and Analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Data Analytics, AI & ML expertise is preferable
• Basic knowledge in VB, Python
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Tools
• Highly motivated team player

Nice to have

• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP) are seen as an advantage
• Ability to translate between business and technical viewpoints
• Knowledge on root cause analysis techniques & ability to take corrective actions to improve Quality
• Elevator knowledge is an added advantage to this profile.
• Strong knowledge of KONE Products and Processes is the preferred advantage
