Job Title: Senior Purchase ExecutiveJob Summary

The Senior Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, vendor development, price negotiation, purchase planning, and ensuring timely availability of materials. The role requires strong analytical skills, negotiation capabilities, and experience in handling large-scale purchasing operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing

  • Manage the complete purchase cycle – RFQs, quotation comparison, order finalization, and PO creation.
  • Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.
  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, machinery parts, and services as per organizational requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores/production for stock planning.

Vendor Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors.
  • Conduct vendor audits, performance evaluations, and ensure adherence to quality & compliance standards.
  • Identify new vendors for cost reduction and quality improvement.

Costing & Negotiation

  • Perform cost analysis, market benchmarking, and negotiate competitive rates and terms.
  • Achieve cost savings through strategic sourcing and alternative vendor development.
  • Ensure purchasing is done within budget and approved limits.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, taxation, statutory norms, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with finance for timely vendor payments and resolve invoice discrepancies.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Collaborate with production, quality, stores, accounts, and logistics teams for smooth operation.
  • Track and report purchase metrics – lead time, price variance, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Handle escalations related to material shortage, delivery delays, or vendor issues.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, market trends & vendor development.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle / any procurement module).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in procurement/purchase functions (manufacturing industries preferred).
  • Strong experience in vendor management and cost negotiation.

Candidates from Manufacturing industry preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
