Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled LabVIEW Developer with experience in camera-based vision systems to join our engineering team. You will design and develop custom software solutions for test automation, data acquisition, and machine vision inspection using NI LabVIEW and the NI Vision Development Module (VDM).

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience integrating cameras, performing image processing, and developing automated visual inspection systems in industrial or R&D settings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy LabVIEW applications for automated test, measurement, and vision-based inspection systems.

  • Integrate and configure industrial cameras (USB, GigE, FireWire, etc.) using NI Vision Acquisition Software.
  • Develop image processing algorithms for object detection, pattern matching, barcode/QR reading, dimensional measurements, defect detection, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements for vision-based automation solutions.
  • Interface with hardware such as NI DAQ, PXI, cRIO, motion controllers, sensors, and actuators.
  • Create detailed documentation including system architecture, software design, and test procedures.
  • Conduct system validation, calibration, and tuning of vision inspection systems.
  • Optimize performance and reliability of both software and hardware systems.
  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance of deployed vision systems

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • 7+ years of hands-on LabVIEW development experience.
  • Experience with camera-based vision systems using NI Vision Development Module (VDM) or Vision Builder AI (VBAI).
  • Proficiency with industrial image acquisition hardware and protocols (GigE, USB3 Vision, Camera Link, etc.).
  • Understanding of machine vision algorithms and tools: edge detection, pattern matching, OCR, blob analysis, etc.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols: Ethernet, Modbus, RS232, GPIB, CAN, etc.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


• NI Certifications such as CLAD, CLD, or CLA.


• Experience with TestStand, real-time systems, or FPGA-based image processing.


• Familiarity with other vision libraries (e.g. OpenCV, Halcon) is a plus.


• Basic knowledge of Python, C/C++, or MATLAB.


• Experience in industries such as automotive, medical devices, robotics, or manufacturing automation
