The Role

The Assistant Manager - MIS will be a critical member of the Central Sales Excellence team. This role is essential for providing the leadership team with accurate, timely, and insightful Management Information Systems (MIS) reports and data analysis. The candidate will be the owner of the reporting framework, translating complex sales data into actionable business insights that drive strategic decisions and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIS Ownership: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive and standardized MIS reports, dashboards, and scorecards for the Central Sales Excellence function and its stakeholders across various sales verticals.
  • Timely Reporting: Ensure the right and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and sales funnel data to the central leadership team.
  • Data Integrity: Establish and monitor data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all reported information.
  • Deep Dive Analysis: Conduct proactive and reactive in-depth data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, bottlenecks, and root causes affecting sales performance and process efficiency.
  • Business Insights: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and compelling business insights and recommendations to support automation projects, process enhancements, and strategic planning.
  • Ad-Hoc Requests: Handle critical ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from the leadership team, providing data-backed answers quickly.
  • Tool Expertise: Be hands-on and adept with various reporting tools (e.g., advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, CRM reporting platforms) to extract, transform, and visualize data effectively.
  • Automation Support: Collaborate with the Central Sales Excellence team to provide data and metrics that support the successful rollout of automation and process improvement initiatives across sales verticals.
  • Process Documentation: Document reporting logic, data sources, and report definitions to maintain transparency and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in an MIS role, preferably supporting a large-scale Sales or Central Function.
  • Reporting Tools (Mandatory):

    Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, VBA is a plus).

  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or QlikView.

  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze large datasets, interpret complex metrics, and generate clear, actionable insights.

  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of sales processes, funnel management, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in a B2C or B2B environment is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data and insights clearly to senior management.
