Integrated reporting BI Delivery Lead

This Position reports to:

Head of Integrated Reporting Tools

In this role, you will own the delivery of the Integrated Reporting platforms which is using SAP BW/4 Hanna, SAP SAC & Non-SAP technologies and supports the Finance organization of ABB for Management and external reporting.

He / She isa professional who oversees the successful delivery of BI solutions.He / She bridges the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring that BI initiatives align with organizational objectives and deliver tangible value.This role will involve managing a team, coordinating resources, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of BI deliverables.

The work model for the role is:#LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Finance Services business Finance Process Data Systems division in Bangalore, India.You will be mainly accountable for:

• Defines BI Modelling guidelines and best practices. Guides on the building reporting solutions and dashboards using best practices and intuitive visualization.
• Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions
• Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of BI projects, often utilizing agile methodologies
• Managing and mentoring tea members, fostering collaboration, and ensuring efficient workflow.
• Communicating effectively with various stakeholders, including design team, business users, IS teams, and vendors, to ensure alignment and address any issues.
• Manages the delivery of user-friendly analytics insights by improving and adapting through continuous solutions delivery, through active feedback from customers and stakeholders. and keeps up to date technologies preference criteria for exposing the data to business users
• Ensuring the quality and accuracy of BI solutions, including data validation, reporting, and analytics.
• Identifying opportunities to improve BI processes, tools, and solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• In essence, a BI Delivery Lead acts as a crucial link between the functional architects and the technical teams, ensuring that BI initiatives are effectively delivered and contribute to the organization's success.
• Having a strong understanding of BW/4Hanna, SAP SAC, S4/Hanna Finance data model and data warehousing principles

• Engages with business leaders, consumers, and/or customers to understand changes to processes, products, services, software, and hardware to improve efficiencies and add value.
• Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility to define solutions and ensure alignment.
• Provides leadership, guidance, or support to temporary work teams, through advising and monitoring task completion without carrying line responsibility.
• Collaborates and provides guidance across ABB across various finance functions.
• Sets the example for proactively building working relationships within the team, acting as an escalation point for staff and ensuring relationship challenges are addressed.
• Creates an environment to facilitate collaboration between the organization and its technology suppliers, ensuring positive and effective working relationships are developed and maintained.
• Coaches and guides Solution Architects on the best practices and latest technology developments to ensure their continuous professional growth.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• Masters degree in computer science, Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in a Functional architecture role on large SAP program.
• Good understanding of financial end to end process such as Record to Report, FP&A, Order to Cash etc.
• Knowledge of working with and using SAP/, BW/ BW/4Hana, SAC and SAP MDG is a must. Having exposure to non-SAP data analytics environment like Snowflake will be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Experience with cloud services (SAP Rise, AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of scaling analytics projects in cloud environments.
