Key responsibilities include creating invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading; maintaining ledgers and financial reports; processing GST and TDS; and managing foreign exchange and bank transactions. Proficiency in accounting software like Tally or Zoho Books, along with strong knowledge of export procedures and taxation, is essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities

  • Documentation:Prepare and manage essential export documents, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Billing and Accounting:Process export billing, maintain accurate financial records, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Compliance:Ensure adherence to all relevant tax laws (e.g., GST, TDS), import/export regulations, and customs procedures.
  • Coordination:Work with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to facilitate smooth customs clearance and shipment.
  • Financial Reporting:Generate financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, and prepare other MIS (Management Information System) reports.
  • Software and Tools:Utilize accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, and Excel for data entry, record maintenance, and reporting.
  • Foreign Exchange:Handle foreign currency management and related international banking activities.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Accounting Principles:A strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Export Procedures:Knowledge of international trade documentation and export processes.
  • Taxation:Expertise in Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) regulations.
  • Software Proficiency:Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP software.
  • Attention to Detail:Meticulous handling of financial records and documentation to ensure accuracy.
