Role & responsibilities
The role is responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of IT systems and infrastructure across Vision Express. The incumbent will handle SAP, POS, and infra support, lead IT enablement for new store openings, IT operations, manage escalations, and oversee IT procurement. The position plays a critical role in ensuring stability, productivity, and efficiency in day-to-day business operations through technology.

Key Responsibilities
Application & Infrastructure Support
- Provide support for SAP, POS, and other enterprise applications, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Deliver timely resolution of IT issues with proper documentation and inputs.
- Train and support end-users to enhance application usage and productivity.
New Store Openings (NSO)
- Manage IT readiness for new stores including POS setup, SAP integration, and infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure smooth handover of IT systems before store launch.
IT Developments
- Manage and implement IT development projects.
- Collaborate with business teams to deliver enhancements and improvements.
IT SPOC
- Act as the single point of contact for IT-related needs across Vision Express
- Coordinate for SAP, POS, and infra issue resolution.
Escalation Management
- Handle and resolve escalations from Head Office and stores.
- Proactively ensure resolution within timelines to avoid business disruption.
Procurement
- Manage procurement of IT hardware, software, and licenses.
- Coordinate with vendors for cost-effective solutions and timely delivery.
Project Management & Productivity
- Deliver IT and infra-related projects with focus on time and quality.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce escalations.
- Ensure quality improvements in all IT deliverables.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in IT application support, infrastructure, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, POS systems, and retail IT environments.
- Experience in IT procurement and vendor coordination.
- Proven ability to handle escalations and multi-stakeholder requirements.
