Job Description – Assistant General

Manager (Finance)

Position: Assistant General Manager – Finance

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting to: General Manager –MD

Location: Mysore

Role Objective

To oversee and manage the financial health of the organization by ensuring effective

financial planning, reporting, compliance, and cost control, while supporting strategic

decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Planning & Analysis

 Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

 Monitor financial performance and variance analysis against budget.

 Provide management with insights for cost optimization and profitability

improvement.

  1. Accounting & Reporting

 Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial

statements.

 Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and payroll

accounting.

 Implement internal controls for error-free financial reporting.

  1. Compliance & Audit

 Ensure statutory compliance with Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, and other

regulations.

 Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and regulatory authorities.

 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial legislation and accounting standards.

  1. Treasury & Fund Management

 Manage banking relationships and oversee fund flow management.

 Monitor working capital requirements and arrange funds as needed.

 Optimize utilization of surplus funds and manage debt obligations.

  1. Strategic Support

 Assist top management in business planning, mergers & acquisitions, and financial

due diligence.

 Support in pricing strategies, cost-benefit analysis, and investment proposals.

 Contribute to ERP/automation initiatives in finance for process efficiency.

  1. Team Management

 Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team for high performance.

 Ensure proper delegation, training, and succession planning.

 Build a culture of accuracy, compliance, and accountability.

Key Skills & Competencies

 Strong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS), taxation, and compliance.

 Analytical and problem-solving skills with business acumen.

 Excellent leadership and team management skills.

 Proficiency in ERP systems (Tally).

 Strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications & Experience

 Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / MBA (Finance).

 Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with at

least 3–5 years in a leadership role.

 Industry Preference: Automotive, Manufacturing, Retail, IT, etc.,

 Gender: Male

 Salary: Best in the market

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹800, ₹1,000,000.00 per year
