- Manage inventory levels for mining equipment, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring availability for uninterrupted operations.
- Coordinate with procurement teams and vendors for timely delivery of materials, including partnerships with OEM suppliers (e.g., Caterpillar, Komatsu).
- Implement inventory control systems and software (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM) to track stock levels and forecast requirements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in storage practices, adhering to guidelines from the Ministry of Mines and MoEFCC.
- Collaborate with project teams to align inventory needs with ongoing mining activities and processing operations.
- Conduct regular audits of store facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards and prevent material wastage.
- Develop and maintain relationships with logistics partners for efficient transportation and distribution of materials.
- Support CSR initiatives by ensuring local sourcing of materials where feasible, contributing to community development.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory metrics, cost optimization, and supply chain efficiency for senior management.
- Train and mentor junior staff in inventory management best practices and safety protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations in the mining or heavy industries sector.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM).
- Strong understanding of mining operations and associated material requirements.
