Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description – Electrical Design Engineer Key Specifications:
• Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and practices
• Perform electrical systems design and calculations, electrical sizing and selection bulk material take-offs
• Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies
• Create bills of material for electrical panels and components
• Reviews customer requirements including customer specifications, Statements of Work, and interface drawings in order to ensure compliance with contract
• Tracks schedules and budgets on assigned programs
• Reviews and approves drawings and equipment design/data
• Interfaces with other departments to resolve questions and technical issues
• Develop electrical equipment specifications/datasheets, electrical system drawings (single line diagram, control schematics, etc) and electrical layout drawings (lighting layouts)
• Perform technical bid evaluation for electrical equipment
• Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems
• Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits
• Attend project design team meetings Key Requirements:
• Education: ME/BE in Electrical Engineering
• Experience: Relevant experience of around 5 years in a reputed design firm
• Software: Knowledge of AutoCAD is a must
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
