To assist in maintaining and monitoring food safety, hygiene, and quality standards in bakery and pastry production. The role involves carrying out routine checks, ensuring proper documentation, and supporting the QA Manager in ensuring that products meet safety regulations and company quality standardsfrom raw material receipt to final product dispatch.

1. Food Safety Monitoring

  • Support implementation of food safety systems in the kitchen and production areas
  • Monitor HACCP points and assist in daily checks of Critical Control Points (CCPs)
  • Maintain accurate food safety records and documentation (HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, etc.)
  • Assist during internal and external audits by providing required documentation and data

2. Hygiene & Sanitation

  • Monitor and verify daily cleaning activities in production and storage areas
  • Check personal hygiene compliance among staff during shifts
  • Help maintain pest control records and follow up on vendor schedules
  • Escalate non-conformance and assist in taking corrective actions

3. Product Quality Checks

  • Conduct in-process and final product quality checks (taste, texture, weight, appearance)
  • Ensure packaging and labeling are as per standards
  • Collect and store control samples for reference
  • Communicate deviations to the QA Manager for further action

4. Traceability & Documentation

  • Maintain batch coding, traceability records, and production logs
  • Assist in mock recall drills and documentation exercises
  • Ensure all QA-related files and reports are updated daily

5. Training & Team Coordination

  • Participate in team training on food safety and hygiene practices
  • Support new team members in understanding QA procedures
  • Communicate any on-floor hygiene or safety concerns to the QA Manager

6. Customer Complaints & CAPA

  • Log and follow up on quality-related complaints
  • Support root cause analysis and implementation of CAPA actions

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate in Food Technology, Microbiology, Hygiene, or Science
  • 24 years experience in food QA, bakery/pastry kitchen production preferred

Candidates with experience in the QSR Industry will be preferred .
