Job description:

Job Purpose

To ensure that all supplied parts, raw materials, and components meet company and customer quality requirements by developing suppliers, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement in the supply base.

Key Responsibilities Supplier Development & Qualification Evaluate and approve new suppliers through audits, capability studies, and sample approvals.Support supplier selection in alignment with sourcing and commodity strategies.Ensure suppliers comply with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.

Quality Assurance & ControlReview and approve PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation from suppliers.Monitor supplier performance on PPM, delivery, and quality KPIs.Drive containment, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions for supplier non-conformances.

Problem Solving & Continuous ImprovementLead supplier quality issue resolution using 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, and PDCA methodologies.Support cost reduction initiatives through defect prevention and process improvements at supplier end.Facilitate APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities for new product development.

Audits & ComplianceConduct process audits, system audits, and product audits at supplier sites.Ensure suppliers meet environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance.Maintain supplier scorecards and share feedback for performance improvement.

Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with Procurement, Design, Manufacturing, and Customer Quality teams.Support localization and new model launch activities by ensuring supplier readiness.Conduct training and workshops for supplier teams on quality tools and standards.

Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans.

Hands-on experience with IATF
