Role & responsibilities

1. Inventory Management:

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor stock movements, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of materials received and dispatched.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.

2. Supplier Management

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.

3. Team Leadership:

  • Lead, train, and supervise the stores team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Schedule and allocate tasks to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

4. Warehouse Operations:

  • Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

  • Implement best practices for material handling, storage, and inventory control.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to align inventory levels with production schedules.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in the stores operation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
