Job Title: Food & Beverage Manager
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: General Manager
Job Summary:
The Food & Beverage Manager oversees the daily operations of all Food & Beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service. The role ensures consistent delivery of high-quality service and products, cost control, team development, and guest satisfaction aligned with the hotel's standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:Operational Management
- Supervise and coordinate all F&B operations including restaurants, banquets, bars, and catering.
- Ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards as per statutory and brand requirements.
- Monitor quality, presentation, and portion control of all food and beverage items.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage budgets for all F&B outlets.
- Monitor and control costs, including food cost, beverage cost, labor cost, and wastage.
- Analyze monthly financial statements and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Drive revenue through upselling, promotions, and event-based sales.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate F&B team members to maintain high service standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, feedback, and operational updates.
- Create staff schedules to ensure efficient coverage.
- Foster a positive work environment with a focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction.
Guest Service & Experience
- Maintain strong guest relationships through regular interaction and feedback.
- Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure consistent implementation of service standards and guest experience protocols.
Menu & Product Development
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Bar Manager to plan and develop menus.
- Introduce innovative food and beverage concepts and promotions.
- Evaluate guest preferences and market trends to enhance offerings.
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inventories, breakages, and wastage.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on revenue, cost, and operational performance.
- Coordinate with other departments (Front Office, Sales, HR, Housekeeping) for smooth operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in F&B operations with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage trends, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Computer literate (POS systems, MS Office, and Hotel Management Software).
