Responsibilities

  • Research and write news articles on assigned topics, ensuring accuracy and clarity
  • Gather information through interviews, press releases, and public records
  • Assist in the development of story ideas and angles that resonate with our audience
  • Collaborate with senior correspondents and editors to refine articles and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Monitor news developments and trends, providing timely updates on relevant stories
  • Support social media efforts by creating engaging content to promote articles

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in journalism or a similar role, demonstrating a strong portfolio of published work.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of ethical journalism standards and best practices.

Preferred:

  • Experience in multimedia storytelling, including video production and podcasting.
  • Familiarity with digital content management systems and SEO best practices.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
