Position: Area Manager – Crop Protection Industry

Location:

Multiple districts across Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh (Extensive travel within assigned district/region)

Reports To:

State Manager

Role Overview:

The Area Manager will be responsible for sales, marketing, and R&D activities in their assigned region. This includes achieving sales targets, managing dealer networks, leading field teams, and promoting Pasura's product portfolio to farmers and distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • achieve sales targets and possess a strong ability to liquidate stocks
  • create and manage budgets
  • create and implement sales and marketing strategies
  • lead a team of field force
  • create a network of dealers/distributors in the region assigned to him
  • create an environment for promoting and adapting the products of the company within the region assigned to him
  • develop and implement marketing and brand promotional activities through farmer meets
  • build a good relationship with district agriculture officers

Qualifications:

  • Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing operations in a district or a region in MP state / Chhattisgarh
  • Demonstrated skill in creating and managing a dealer / distributor network in a district or a region in MP state / Chhattisgarh state
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets for at least 5 consecutive years
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work independently and possess troubleshooting skills
  • Aptitude to create and manage a marketing field force - an entire team of Assistant Managers, Sales Officers, and Field Agents in the assigned state
  • Demonstrated skill in handling marketing and other allied tasks
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the regional agronomy practices
  • Demonstrated fluency in local languages
