Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Technical Lead
with strong experience in
AS400, COBOL, CLLE, DB2/400, and CLP
. The ideal candidate will lead technical initiatives, oversee development activities, and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and operational excellence within the
Property & Casualty Insurance
domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end technical design, development, and implementation on the AS400 platform.
  • Oversee the work of developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize programs using COBOL, CLLE, and CLP.
  • Work with DB2/400 for database design, query optimization, and data management.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project timelines.
  • Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure system reliability.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and deployment guides.
  • Support integration, testing, and deployment activities in coordination with QA and operations teams.
  • Drive process improvements and automation opportunities within the AS400 environment.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with AS400 (iSeries) platform.
  • Proficiency in COBOL, CLLE, and CLP programming.
  • In-depth understanding of DB2/400 database design and performance tuning.
  • Experience in debugging, performance optimization, and system enhancement.

Domain Skills

  • Solid understanding of the Property & Casualty Insurance domain — preferably with exposure to policy administration, claims, and underwriting processes.

Nice To Have

  • Experience working with WINS tool.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices such as version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
