JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:-

  • Patient Registration & Data Collection:Collect accurate patient demographic and insurance information at the time of admission to ensure proper billing.
  • Medical Coding:Translate medical diagnoses and procedures into standardized codes (like ICD-10 and CPT) for accurate billing and claim submission.
  • Invoice & Claim Preparation:Prepare and issue accurate patient invoices and submit insurance claims to payers for services rendered.
  • Insurance Coordination:Liaise with insurance companies to verify coverage, process claims, and follow up on denied or outstanding payments.
  • Patient Billing & Inquiries:Address patient billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and clearly explain billing statements and payment options.
  • Record Maintenance:Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all patient billing transactions and update billing system databases.
  • Compliance:Ensure that all billing practices adhere to hospital policies and relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Financial Reporting:Assist in generating and analyzing reports to monitor financial performance, track revenue, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
