Payroll Executive

We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Payroll Executive to oversee and manage our end-to-end payroll processing for a workforce of over 2,000 employees. The ideal candidate will be an expert in payroll operations, possess advanced Excel skills, and have a proven track record of handling employee queries and managing third-party payroll vendors. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursement, statutory compliance, and resolving all payroll-related grievances efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Processing & Management:
Manage the complete payroll lifecycle for a minimum of 2,000 employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
Process data from various sources including attendance, leaves, deductions, bonuses, and incentives.
Handle full and final settlements with precision and in accordance with company policy.
Validate and reconcile payroll inputs and outputs before final disbursement.
Employee Grieviance & Query Resolution:
Serve as the key point of contact for all employee salary-related queries and grievances.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in salaries, deductions, taxes, and other payroll components in a timely and empathetic manner.
Provide clear and concise explanations to employees regarding their payroll slips and deductions.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure strict compliance with all statutory norms related to payroll (e.g., PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, LWF).
- Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for management.
Utilize advanced Excel skills & Google sheets (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, and Complex Formulas) for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
Data Integrity & Process Improvement:
Maintain the highest level of data integrity and confidentiality of payroll information.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains within the payroll function.
Maintain and update all payroll records and documentation systematically.
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 plus years of proven experience in end-to-end payroll management.
Must have handled payroll for at least 2,000 employees.
Mandatory experience in managing third-party payroll vendors.
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is non-negotiable.
In-depth Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Indian payroll statutes (PF, ESI, Gratuity, TDS, etc.).
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle employee grievances tactfully.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
Confidentiality: Unquestionable integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, vendors, and management.
