Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Data Engineer with a strong background in SQL, Python, and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on Snowflake development experience. The ideal candidate will be certified, with a proven track record in data warehousing, data modeling, performance optimization, and implementing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using industry-standard tools. Experience in leading small delivery tracks or mentoring junior engineers is highly desirable.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:


• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes in Snowflake.


• Develop, streamline, and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, reporting, and analytics use cases.


• Write robust Python scripts for orchestration, automation, and advanced data transformations.


• Lead or support migration initiatives from legacy platforms to Snowflake, integrating various structured and semi structured data sources.


• Implement Snowflake best practices for performance tuning, governance, security, multi-cluster configuration, and cost management.


• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including data analysts, architects, and business teams to deliver end to-end data warehouse solutions.


• Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and support documentation of data models, schemas, and data flows.


• Work with cloud-native services to integrate and manage scalable data workloads.

Key Skills & Expertis:


• 58 years of total experience in Data Engineering with minimum 3 years of hands-on Snowflake experience.


• Strong expertise in advanced SQL development, query optimization, and analytical functions.


• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation, orchestration, and transformation.


• Experience in Data Warehouse architecture, dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake Schema), and data lake concepts.


• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Matillion, dbt, Talend, or equivalent.


• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated storage, compute, and security services.


• Solid understanding of data governance, security, performance tuning, and cost optimization techniques.


• Familiarity with semi-structured formats (JSON, Parquet, Avro) and Snowflake-specific features (Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, etc.).


• Excellent problem-solving skills, communication proficiency, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
