Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Lead to oversee the design, development, and implementation of our Snowflake-based data platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud data warehousing, Snowflake architecture, data modelling, and leading data engineering teams. This role will play a key part in modernizing our data infrastructure and supporting analytics initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
  • Architect scalable and secure data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and other ETL tools.
  • Collaborate with data architects,analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Define best practices for Snowflake performance tuning, security, and data governance.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and developers.
  • Optimize storage, compute usage, and cost management within the Snowflake environment.
  • Implement data quality, lineage, and monitoring processes.
  • Integrate Snowflake with third-party tools(e.g., Fivetran, Airflow, dbt, Tableau/Power BI).
  • Stay up to date with Snowflake releases and capabilities to recommend innovative solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
  • Expertise in SQL, data modeling(star/snowflake schema), and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially with Snowflake integrations.
  • Strong experience with ETL tools (e.g.Informatica, Talend, Matillion, dbt).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with scripting languages(Python preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Snowflake certification(s) (e.g., SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced: Architect).
  • Experience with real-time data ingestion and streaming platforms (Kafka, Apache Spark).
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations(GDPR, HIPAA) and data governance frameworks.
  • Prior experience in leading data platform migration to Snowflake.
